Resident Return visa Subclasses 155 and 157
This visa allows you to return to Australia as a permanent resident when your approved period expires and to have as many entries and exits as you wish until the approved period expires.
Eligibility requirements:
- to be a permanent resident of Australia
- to be a former permanent resident of Australia whose last permanent visa has not been cancelled
- to be a former Australian citizen who has lost or has given up Australian citizenship.

The processing times for this visa depend on your circumstances, but it may take up to a month and a half.

For Resident Return visa Subclasses 155 and 157 visa application charge (VAC) is AUD405 you can apply online, or you can lodge the paper application and then the fee is AUD485.

Maritime Crew visa Subclass 988
This type of visa allows foreign crews on non-military ships to make international journeys and enter Australia by sea. This visa is also for a partner or dependent child of a foreign crew member.
With this visa you can:
- enter Australia and leave it by sea as a member of a non-military crew
- stay in Australia as long as you are registered as a non-military crew member
- do business in Australia only as a crew member that meets the general operational needs of the ship.
Eligibility requirements:
- to apply offshore
- to be a member of the crew or have the offer to be a member of the crew on a non-military ship who is on an international journey to Australia
- do not have a permanent Australian visa
- not be a member of a yacht or a passenger.

Medical Treatment visa Subclass 602
This visa allows you to travel or stay longer in Australia for treatment or to support someone who needs a medical treatment that has this visa or has applied for this visa. This visa is also for people who donate an organ.
With this visa you can:
- stay in Australia until treatment or consultation is completed
- have granted one or more entries to Australia depending on your situation
- study up to 3 months (or longer if you meet the criteria).
